Hooded blankets are becoming more and more popular because of their unique design and comfortable use experience. However, the correct cleaning and maintenance methods are essential to extend the service life of hooded blankets. Here are some methods and suggestions for cleaning and maintaining hooded blankets.

Cleaning methods

1. Machine wash: Most hooded blankets can be machine washed. Roll the hooded blanket into a special mesh bag and put it in the washing machine. Choose a gentle washing program and use a neutral detergent. Be careful not to use bleach or softener to avoid damaging the material of the blanket.

2. Hand wash: If the material of the hooded blanket is more delicate, it is recommended to wash it by hand. Put the hooded blanket in a basin, add an appropriate amount of neutral detergent or special detergent, soak it for 20-30 minutes, and then gently squeeze it with your hands or step on it with your feet. Be careful not to rub it hard during the cleaning process to avoid damaging the fibers of the blanket.

3. Rinse: Whether it is machine washing or hand washing, rinse it thoroughly after washing. You can rinse it with clean water several times until the detergent is completely washed away. If it is a pure wool blanket, you can add a small amount of white vinegar when washing it for the last time, which can make the blanket brighter and newer.

4. Drying: After washing, roll up the hooded blanket and press it gently to squeeze out excess water. Then put it on two parallel bamboo poles and place it in a cool place to dry slowly. Do not expose the hooded blanket to the sun to avoid fading and deformation of the blanket.

Maintenance method

1. Regular dust removal: Hooded blankets are prone to dust accumulation during daily use. It is recommended to use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust regularly. If the blanket has tassels, it is best to fold them under the blanket to prevent wear.

2. Avoid exposure to the sun: Hooded blankets should not be exposed to the sun for a long time. Long-term exposure to the sun will cause the blanket to fade and the fiber to age. It is recommended to move the blanket to a cool place to dry after using it for a period of time to keep it soft and comfortable.

3. Anti-moth treatment: Although the hooded blanket has been treated with anti-moth treatment when it leaves the factory, it is still necessary to pay attention to anti-moth during long-term storage. You can put a few moth balls on the blanket, roll the blanket up and tie it tightly, and place it in a ventilated and dry place.

4. Remove stains in time: Hooded blankets will inevitably get stained during use. It should be wiped with detergent or detergent diluted in time or laid flat for washing. After washing, wipe the water with a dry towel to avoid stains.

Precautions

1. Avoid high temperature: Hooded blankets should not be used or stored in high temperature environments. High temperature will damage the fibers of the blanket and affect its service life.

2. Avoid frequent washing: Although hooded blankets can be machine washed or hand washed, frequent washing will affect its softness and warmth. It is recommended to wash it only when necessary, and you can keep the blanket clean by drying and patting it at ordinary times.

3. Avoid rubbing: When washing the hooded blanket, avoid rubbing it hard to avoid damaging the fibers of the blanket. Especially for blankets made of more delicate materials, you should pay more attention to gentle handling.

With the above methods and suggestions, you can better wash and maintain the hooded blanket, extend its service life, and enjoy more warmth and comfort.
