Pretreat stains

Use a drop of dishwashing liquid to treat stains or stains. Let the liquid soak into the stain for 10 minutes, then use a paper towel to remove as much of the soap as possible to remove the stain. Do not rub the stain as you may spread it or press it deeper into the fabric.

washing

1: Machine wash:

Place the blanket in the washing machine. To prevent wear and tear from other clothing, it's best to wash woolen items with clothing of similar colors. Before you begin, set your washing machine to gentle mode. Stronger wash cycles may cause knots to form in the wool. Use only warm water, not hot water. Add laundry detergent to the washing machine, but do not use one that contains bleach. It's best to avoid using fabric softeners when washing wool items, as they can damage the waterproof coating that many wool items are manufactured with.

2. Hand wash: Let the liquid soak into the stain for 10 minutes, then wash gently with your hands.

drying

1: Machine drying: Tumble dry the blanket on low heat and gentle mode. Never use high heat styling on wool blankets as this can damage the fabric. Remove the blanket immediately after the dryer stops and fold it to prevent wrinkling. If the blankets are too fluffy, place them on a flat surface and weigh them down with your hands. Make sure you never iron your wool blanket. Irons can melt synthetic fibers and leave marks on wool.

2: Dry naturally: If you are able and the weather permits, consider hanging your blanket to dry outdoors for a fresh smell.

store

If you store blankets after washing, fold them neatly and place a scented dryer sheet under the last fold. This will keep the blanket fresh while stored in the linen closet.

The importance of spot cleaning
In addition to regular cleaning, spot cleaning is an important technique for addressing small stains or spills on your blanket hoodie:

Gently wipe the stained area with a clean, damp cloth or sponge to remove the material.
Avoid rubbing as it can cause the stain to sink deeper into the fabric.
If necessary, apply a small amount of mild detergent directly to the stain and rub gently with your fingers or a soft brush.
Rinse the area thoroughly with water to remove any residue.
Gently squeeze out excess water and allow the hoodie to air dry completely.
